In a rural county like Shropshire it is perhaps not surprising that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to box schemes. Listed here are what we would class as traditional box schemes, and we aren't just limited to vegetables.

Organic by Order is a veg box scheme which aims to provide you with fresh organic produce at a reasonable price. Based on an organic smallholding in South Shropshire where they produce organic vegetables, fruit and eggs.
Boxfresh Organics
Location: Rodington, between Shrewsbury and Telford

The vast majority of the veg they deliver is grown within 60 miles of Shrewsbury. All of it is registered organic. Most of it is delivered to you within 48 hours of being picked and packaging is kept to a minimum. They offer veg, fruit, salad, eggs and meat.

This not for profit organisation want you to keep it local and feast on a wide range of fantastic local food. Specialising in vegetables and meat, the contents of the following week's box can be viewed on their website and your order can be dispatched to your home, or to one of the many local hubs.

Riverford family of organic farms, which is based on Stockley Farm, in Cheshire. Customers can
choose from a wide range of seasonal, organic veg boxes or design their own box from our
huge range of loose veg, fruit, dairy, beverages and kitchen essentials. We also deliver the
acclaimed Riverford Meatboxes. What we can't grow ourselves, we source from other British organic
growers first and only then from overseas. We never airfrieght, and don't charge for delivery.
