Service from the staff is second to none and the food is wonderful and good value for money. However, the attitude and language from the owner of the establishment leaves a lot to be desired. Would not recommend anyone visiting this establishment.

Nice decor, not charming during the day I am afraid due to lack of atmosphere. Call me old fashioned but I do not want to be asked 'You alright there?' when I come in. People you can get far better coffee in many other establishments in town so don't rush to visit.

I have been to Ashleys a few times. The food has always been very good, and well presented, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Their carrot cake is top notch.

Visited Ashleys Cafe Bar on a mid week lunch time. It was busy, not many spare tables. A nice selection of meals and I think there were some specials on the wall, though I didn't notice them until after I had ordered. The Parma ham, fig and goat cheese panini was very good. Served with Tyrrells crisps, lettuce and a generous heap of celeriac coleslaw. A very nicely presented lunch and not too expensive. Well worth a visit if you are in town.

Wine bar in the evening, charming cafe during the day. A welcome new addition to the town, close to the centre. Great paninis.
