The Boathouse is one of the few pubs in Shrewsbury, a town centre almost surrounded by the River Severn, to actually have a river frontage. An attractive seating area gives great views over The Quarry and the wildfowl on the water.
The pub itself serves decent beer but is a little rough-and-ready. There�s convenient, but limited, car-parking just off the road. Worth further investigation

Great selection of Ales and Beers, food is average but the real attraction is the outdoor seating area over looking the river. If your after bar nibbles and a summer drink outside, this is the place to be.

I ate here in the summer. Sitting on the terrace overlooking The Quarry, the River Severn and the Porthill footbridge. Check the river isn't in flood or you may have to sit inside! Gets busy on summer evenings. Good choice on the menu and the fish and chips were good.

Lunch baguette was very average, and served with half a bag of crisps, which was a bit random. Superb place to sit and watch the river go by though. Curry night on Thursdays and they have quite a few fine local ales on tap.

Good pub food served by the river. A lot better since the smoking ban. This is a great place to sit on a Summer's day.
