My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this delightful establishment on 16/17 September 2011. Our accomodation was stunning (the rooms have only been available for a week). Extremely comfortable four poster bed and high quality furniture.

We ate in the restaurant both nights. The quality of the food was excellent although being from Yorkshire we would question the value for money regarding quantity. However, the restaurant was busy on both occasions therefore we assume the prices are set to meet local demand, so you cannot fault that!!!! The Sea Bass was outstanding. My wife says the sticky toffee pudding was to die for!! The full english breakfast was a full english breakfast. Although we did not indulge in the bar meals, the menu was comprehensive and should satisfy most tastes.

The bar is well stocked with wines, lagers including three hand pulled beers - the Shropshire Gold was particularly welcome.

We would recommend the Corbet Arms to anyone, and we intend to return soon to explore the delights of Shropshire.

Went there for lunch with a work colleague. One local bitter on hand pub along with London Pride etc.

Ordered gammon steak and colleague had the lasagne from the lunch menu - seems to be that vegetables must be extra since the gammon came with chips and fried egg - no green on my plate which was disappointing. Food just seemed to lack that extra spark and seemed very run of the mill to me.

After visiting the Corbet Arms in Uffington, I can honestly say it's one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. The food was excellent, service was superb, and we were very happy with the price on the bill at the end of our evening. Thank you very much and we will be visiting you again soon.

I have for 50yrs enjoyed dining around this country of ours. I had the pleasure of visiting the
Corbet Arms after its total re-furbishment and found every thing to my liking. To the unhappy customer who visited on the 11 Nov 10 were you at the same place ?? We were a party of 8 and our meal was excellent
on the same day. Service was very good. I have always had the belief that if every thing is not upto standard you complain at the time, you do not go away and write what you think on a screen. I have had many excellent meals at the Corbet and would certainly recommend it to others.

Recently enjoyed a family get together at the corbet arms uffington, food was excellent and fairly priced, it would be easy for them to charge alot more and they have resisted. I had the Pate to start which was wonderful, Most of the family had the fish and chips as recommended by friends and it didnt disappoint, sadly they were a bit stingy with the custard on the treacle sponge but that really is the only bad thing I can think of. I will be returning soon.

This establishment is now in the hands of new owners. They have invested a considerable amount of money in all areas. The restaurant has received a total revamp and the ambiance greatly improved.

The food is excellent, locally sourced and very well presented. Staff are attentive and friendly.

You will not go wrong here just remember to pre-book as word is quickly spreading about this hidden gem.

The Corbet Arms has been re-opened for four weeks. There's a bar with a big television which was showing football when I passed through. There's a large deck for those who enjoy looking at Shrewsbury over the Severn and the A49 whilst indulging in passive smoking. The lounge area, however, whilst being a bit too open, is fine.

A wide range of lagers is partially compensated by three slightly less prominent hand pulls - London Pride, Charles Wells' Bombardier and Beowulf's Hurricane. An order for a spritzer resulted in an excellent large glass of sauvignon blanc and, for once, no question about "do you want soda or lemonade" - always a bad start to a drinking experience.

We had been warned by friends that the steak and kidney pudding sells out early - and it had. Starters of prawn & crayfish cocktail, goats cheese wontons and ham hock terrine were all pronounced tasty and hearty and would suffice for some as a light lunch. The mains of beer-battered haddock, red Thai chicken curry and a substitute steak and kidney pie were most satisfactory. The service was good and the price came out at just over £20 per head.

We will be revisiting the Corbet Arms
