The Good Life is a real treat, even for non-vegetarians. Always good food, reasonably priced and with good servings. Healthy and freshly prepared dishes - salads, hot dishes, soups and baked potatoes to name a few. I come here often, usually from work. This is a well established and popular eating place.

Went here for the first time last weekend - I'm a veggie but every time I've tried to visit in the past it's been closed! Opening on a Sunday is surely a must for a restaurant-I mean, that's when a lot of people will have lunch out, surely?

Anyway, it reminded me a lot of Food For Thought in Covent Garden - the food was good, tasty, well priced and in good proportion. I thought the staff could have been more welcoming - the lady who served us was as quiet as a mouse. Would definitely go back but wouldn't rush to do so.

I don't know how long this restaurant has been here, I'm told I used to be taken here in a pushchair, so at least 25 years?

For as long as I can remember, it's always been a lovely cosy environment - like eating in a farmhouse kitchen, with the wonderfully crooked and rickety upstairs complete with 70s pine tables and chairs.

The food is the type of homemade vegetarian wholefood that you can feel good about eating, There's always several hot dishes available, along with the ever present salad selection. My current favourites are the chickpea curry & spinach moussaka. The waldorf salad and bean salad are always good as accompaniments, and the pimhill bread is worth a special mention. There's an excellent selection of puddings, usually including the very yummy pecan tart.

5 stars for a continually excellent place to eat :)

Cosy restaurant offering a range of home made vegetarian dishes for a reasonable price. Famous for their jacket potatoes. Wonderful smells as you walk past on your way up Wyle Cop.
