sunday lunch done!
took the inlaws, you know how it is got to please everyone, and this did not dissapoint. lovely carvery, good value, exellent service, thank you jay the pregnant one, spoke to the chef about the local meat, just up the road from my mums, rodington. loveley pork. my son particularly enjoyed the lunch, seconds on proper yorkshire puddings.
we will be back. to top it all i am in the good books with the inlaws.
thanks again.

My husband and I went to the peach tree and had cheese risotto balls for starter and cod for main, the risotto balls where Luke warm and the cod was tuff, we left most of our food. Not impressed we won't be returning.

Great location opposite the Abbey, and staff that were so attentive I was somewhat taken back to the good old days of real friendly customer service (a waitress I think her name was Sian was particularly outstanding). The food can be tricky however because they offer both a 2 course £10 deal at night as well as a more expensive la carte menu. I had the £10 deal which was amazing value and tasty but understandably my wife's meal chosen from the a la carte menu (more expensive) was out of this world. I guess you get what you pay for! Can't wait to return for another marvellous experience.

Only been in Shrewsbury for a few months and just can't get enough of this place, not just for the food but the atmosphere and the nightlife. Eaten at the Peach Tree a few times now and the food and service has been amazing. That said on one occasion we both had to wait quite a while for our main courses - but they were worth waiting for!) It's really good to see a place like this actually in Shrewsbury - the restaurant wouldn't be out of place in the trendy London districts. Also love the adjacent C21 nightclub next door it's a great bonus if you wanna party after your meal! Keep up the good work guys!

Hen Party Amazing!
Chocolate Fountains, Butlers in the buff, Great food, Lovely Staff, Thanks Grant & Team. You made us all feel very special, We will be back!

From reading the reviews of the Peach Tree I felt confident in reserving a table for 14 guests. Although the food was good, it was let down with extremely poor service. Water was delivered minus glasses, we had to pile our own first course plates when the second course arrived. These were still not cleared away until requested. We had a 40 minute wait for desert followed by another fifteen minute wait for the bill. Will not be returning.

A warm and welcoming restaurant with top quality food.
Visited a week ago on a Thursday, not expecting much for mid week, but was amazed. The food was fantastic, the evening £10 2 course deal was amazing, good wine list and the service was fast, seamless and friendly. Look forward to returning.

From start to finish the evening was superb and we were looked after as if we had been going there for years, but it was our first time visiting Shrewsbury in quite a while. A great atmosphere and service with a genuine smile is definitely the order of the day - well done! The food was also fresh, and think they use local ingredients. I would say its not the cheapest but certainly very good value for money all round. I would certainly visit again

by far and away the best all round venue we have in town. the lunch menu changes daily (i know this because i eat most lunchtimes!) and is great value at £5! love your roasted belly pork! keep up the good guys!

What a great find! I can see why this restaurant is doing so well, its got great simple but imaginative food, tremendous service, a really lively atmosphere, and above all amazing value for money. We dined there early on Friday evening and took advantage of the special £10 2 course deal, and all the food was superb in terms of taste and presentation. I would have expected it to be a lot more costly! I just wish we lived nearer to Shrewsbury would love this restaurant to be on my doorstep.

Its good to find a restaurant where the high quality of food is matched by impeccable high standards of service, without being stuffy. We were expecting it to be quiet having gone mid-week but the place was buzzing, it had a lovely atmosphere. We took advantage of the £10 deal for two courses, and although we chose a steak which had a £4 supplement it was still excellent value for money. Having just moved to Shrewsbury this will definitely be at the top of my restaurant list.

We just wanted a good family evening meal - What a find. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, the flavours were perfect and the service so friendly and welcoming. We didn't expect to find a restaurant with such a fantastic atmosphere offering quality dining and entertainment. This is firmly on our list of special places to eat.

This restaurant was an excellent find. It was our wedding anniversary and the service was exceptional, and the food was amazing. We loved the setting, and the atmosphere has a great buzz. We were only coming out for a romantic meal and ended staying until 3 in the morning sampling the adjoining Spirit champagne and cocktail bar on the one side and had a boogie in C21 on the other side of the venue. It really made our wedding anniversary very special, and will definitely return as soon as possible.

Attended a corporate staff dinner here, food is reasonable but the wine list is poor, this is a good party restaurant more suited to a night out on the town, coupled with its dance floor, quiet rooms, centre courtyard smoking area and karokee lounge this place was very good for all your weekend party needs. Wait time on food was terrific and we were a party of 80.

The Peach Tree restaurant in the shadow of the Abbey is a great place to eat no matter what time of day. Whether you are looking for a full on formal evening meal or just a quick snack with coffee at lunch time, the Peach Tree will suit. The venue dates back to the 15th century, and you won't have been sitting down for long before you are staring up at the fabulous open beam roof timbers. The resturant itself is on two levels, though only the downstairs tends to be used during the day. I have eaten here several times and the food has always been excellent. Tasty pasta, delicious soup, and very good bowls of chips. In fact it was on our shortlist for a wedding venue. Take a look at their website for more information but I'm not sure how up to date their online menu is. I emailed to ask but they did not respond.
