Very nice coffee!
best food in town with a doubt, atmosphere needs to be abit more lively with music more up to date. the service is always exceptional, and speedy.
A friend and i ate here on a Thursday evening and both really enjoyed our food, we both went for salads which i know sounds boring but it was lovely to see a menu offering an interesting choice other than caesar salad. It was tasty, well presented and reasonably priced with a good bottle of not overpriced wine. The service was excellent and the only down side was it was a bit quiet - but that's a Thursday in shrewsbury for you i think. Will definitely return and sample some more off the menu!
Having read mixed reviews for this establishment and having phoned the proprietor to check that they catered for vegetarians my wife and I decided to try this restaurant out. Although having lived in Shrewsbury for many years, I had not been to this restaurant before and the last time my wife had been there was when it was under different management and was called Owens. On entering the establishment we were immediately impressed by the clean and unpretentious surroundings and the back ground music was pleasant and not too loud. We were greeted by the staff, who were not only extremely courteous but also attentive and friendly. After ordering and receiving the drinks (in quick time), we decided to give the starters a miss and I ordered the Sunday pork roast and my wife ordered the feta and sundried tomato and potato vegetarian dish. We didn't have long to wait before the dishes arrived and we were not disappointed. The pork roast was excellent; it was presented well, with plentiful helpings of vegetables, which were cooked just right and tasted delicious. My wife's vegetarian meal was also excellent and she said it was also well cooked and well presented. Although we also decided to skip the puddings, we were nevertheless pleasantly surprised to receive the bill for just over £23, which we both thought was extremely good value for money for a main meal and drinks. We enjoyed the experience and would have no hesitation in strongly recommending this restaurant to our friends.

Lunch with my Mum to catch up. We both had Smoked Salmon and Prawn wraps which come with salad and chips. These were 5 out of 5. My mouth is watering just thinking about them now! Great chips here too. I had not been here since it was called Owens but it basically remains the same as it was – which was good to see. It was busy when we ate there at 1.30pm ish on a Tuesday also great to see. Would and will go back here again.
Good choice of food, quickly served and well presented. Staff helpful. Facilities are upstairs, which might present a problem for some clients. Plenty of room between tables. Very light and airy.
Very pleasant location to have lunch with friends or simply a drink while watching the shoppers pass by down Butchers Row, I went recently and had a good greek salad, the service tends to be a little slow at busy periods but the staff are friendly.

Restaurant and bar with good reviews. Very stylish dining room upstairs. Not cheap but apparently worth the money. Limited pavement seating if you like to dine al fresco.
