To help us decide where to eat and buy food, Shropshire Council inspect food businesses in Shropshire and produce food hygiene ratings from 0 to 5, based on factors such as food preparation, storage, cleanliness and facilities.

The Pantry was rated 5: very good.

The town has been crying out for a good Mexican for some years now. My wife and I together with 8 friends visited on Friday night and I am pleased to say we were delighted with the food as it was excellent, as was the service. Well done to all concerned.

The pantry offers lovely food, service and atmosphere, a place were you can enjoy food at brilliant prices, and even go back there in the evening to enjoy mexcican food, again with excellent food and prices and going again tomorrow night.

One of Shrewsbury's treasures! Staff are friendly and efficient.Excellent food choice offering daily specials on a board or a regular menu choice. Locally sourced, tasty, healthy salads and fresh vegetables are available every day and all is so reasonably priced. I have recommended it to a number of friends.

Just read the last review on the pantry I have been going into the pantry for the last 8 years and it's always been the same staff the coffee is great and the food and service second to none.

what a fantastic place food is great staff very friendly menu is very good and the specials board has some great dishes on and all very well priced the best thing about the pantry is the bar area where you can watch all your food being cooked and because you can see the kitchen you know how lovely and clean it is

Lively cafe (can sometimes be a bit TOO busy) with tasty and good value breakfasts and lunches. The specials are often interesting and the bar stool seating is a nice feature which makes The Pantry stand out from the crowd.

had lunch at the pantry on sat 2/5/09 the place was heaving with customers but the service was still very good and the food was fantastic and quick to come and very well priced.

American style bar stool cafe. Very busy at lunch times during the week. I had a chicken, mushroom and pesto panini and it was good.
