To help us decide where to eat and buy food, Shropshire Council inspect food businesses in Shropshire and produce food hygiene ratings from 0 to 5, based on factors such as food preparation, storage, cleanliness and facilities.

The best chippy in Shrewsbury, especially if you have the time to sit upstairs. Fast and friendly service, have never had a bad meal ever. We have been regulars for nearly 4 years and will continue to enjoy this gem.

We always go to Town Fryer on weekend when in town, always have a lovely lunch, food is very tasty and always given a warm welcome from the lady working upstair, very friendly and offers good service. Would recommend weekend special to all.

I am a regular visitor to The Town Fryer. The food is excellent, you can't beat the taste of the fish and chips. Good value, good portion size and friendly staff. Would highly recommended to all.

Needed 65 fish & chip suppers delivered to the Showground. Arrived on time and steaming hot. Excellent helpings and very tasty - chips were good and EVERYONE was very happy. Friends had good meals in the restaurant too. Highly recommended.
