Ask

Who are they

ASK is a chain of Italian style fast food restaurants. The Shrewsbury branch is located on High Street, almost opposite the Old Market Hall. I have visited a couple of times and both times been impressed. A sign immediately inside the door asks your to wait to be seated and you are quickly shown to a seat by efficient and friendly looking staff. I'm not sure whether a table near the back facing the half open kitchen is a good thing or not. I have ended up with the same view twice and by the time my food arrived I had already had to watch lots of other plates of great looking pasta and pizza being served up.

What do they offer

The food is well priced and there is plenty of choice. The Shrewsbury branch of ASK was updated quite recently, making it very light and airy, and bringing a new menu and style to the food. If it has been a few years since you last visited ask, do give them another try as we found the food really good for a national chain. You can get pizza, pasta, and risotto, and they are happy to make the pasta and pizza gluten free on request. Make sure you sign up for their newsletter too as they frequently send out great special offers.

Why do we like them

The staff at ASK have clearly been trained to ensure that customer satisfaction is top priority. From the moment you walk in the door they are full of smiles and genuinely keen to make sure you enjoy your time with them, whether you are popping in for a quick lunch or a family meal. If you have children, ASK Shrewsbury should certainly be high on your list of restaurants to visit. Just like when you visit Italy, nothing is too much trouble where children are concerned and the kids are given a box of crayons to keep them busy while you order.

National pizzeria and pasta chain.

The pizzas here are reasonably priced and very well made. The choice of toppings is also impressive. If you want a fairly quick lunch and pizza appeals, you'll be gald you came here.

My wife and I eat here about once a month since we discovered it last year. Food can take a while, especially when they are busy, but really nice atmosphere inside and the pizzas are some of the best I have ever eaten.
