This restaurant is the best, not only is the food fantastic, the service is personal, friendly and unhurried. Whether your on your own, in a couple or a family with children - making you feel as though you are their most important customer ever comes natural to this restaurant. If you have never been - don't delay - it will be the best choice you will ever make, and you won't just go once - you will keep going. Some of my happiest memories have taken place here, and the freshly prepared and cooked food is some of the best you will find in England - it's like Italy has come to town.

Amazing. That is how we describe the talent of the chef; we have never tasted such exquisite food locally. Each time we have visited this restaurant we are treated to some of the most exciting meals we have ever tasted. If you get chance try and visit one of the Gourmet Evenings; they get booked up very quickly; I can promise you will never want to miss another one!! We believe you get what you pay for; if you like the taste of microwave meals then you will not like La Dolce Vita; as everything is prepared and cooked fresh. Treat yourselves ……. It’s worth it.

Also being a regular to visit La Dolce Vita i have foud it to be the most authentic italian restaurand in shropshire let alone shrewsbury, people are commenting on the decor, which i think is quite homely and inviting, and i find that Luigi is very friendly always very polite, it is a lovely family run restaurant with Michelin star class, the Gourmet evening are something in a league of its own, which the standard of food cooked is hard to come by even in the best restaurants in London, i highly reccomend a visit to La Dolce Vita for a taste of italian perfection.

As regular vistors to La Dolce Vita over many many years, this is still our most favourite restaurant in which to eat in Shrewsbury.
The food is always freshly prepared, cooked to order and always delicious.
We are always greeted warmly, the service is fantastic, but most of all we enjoy being able to relax and enjoy the evening at our pace without feeling hurried (a real pleasure in this day and age).
If you have not already given La Dolce Vita ago please do, we know you won't regret it.

We are amazed at the Visitor's review as we eaten at La Dolce Vita several times and the food is always fresh and beautifully cooked. We live in Oxfordshire and always make a detour to Shrewsbury on our way back from Scotland.
All the staff are delightful and the service is just as it should be - enough time between courses so that you don't feel rushed or harrassed, a rare treat these days! We also agree with Stan & Jan that the food is worthy of a Michelin star.

Luigi and Trish never disapoint. This restaurant is a hidden jewel in Shrewsbury. We went there last night and had a wonderful meal of Crustini with four delicious toppings, Penne 1983 lovely pasta with a spicy twist, the best ever Fillet steak with veg for me and my wife had Duck which she said was delicious all accompanied with a wonderful Chianti. For sweet we had Tirramasu which was delightful, then a slow walk home. What a lovely evening.

Superb evening, beautifully furnished, fantastic service, but the food was wonderful, the prawn cocktail (dolce vita style) was amazing real home cured salmon with lovely plump fresh prawns, we had rack of lamb and sea bass which were first class, how lovely to find an Italian restaurant that is not stuck in the "60's" time warp, but offers new exciting and modern food, Well done LA DOLCE VITA.

I am a regular diner at La Dolce Vita and I have never been disappointed.
Top Class food and friendly service.
I was very surprised at Tony's review as I am a great believer in you get what you pay for and surely "Slow Service" means freshly cooked food.
In my humble opinion they're one of the best restaurants in Shropshire.

My experience at La Dolce Vita was one to remember, the standard of the food was exquisite and the staff were very friendly and made us feel right at home, the food was presented as a work of art (almost didn`t want to ruin the masterpiece).... and we are looking forward to our next visit.

I am a regular visitor to Italy, and can honestly say that La Dolce Vita, is the best food I have eaten outside Italy, they cook Italian food for Italian people, it is really wonderful, the sea bass is out of this world, not to mention the Panna Cotta!!!

Decor is a bit retro but don't let this put you off as this is the best italian restaurant in Shrewsbury. Not the cheapest but this authentic restaurant always delivers. The spaghetti carbonara is "historic" as MW would say.
