The Shrewsbury branch of this national chain is situated in the old Empire cinema. For those of us old enough to remember queueing outside for the latest movie, eating in what used to be the stalls is a novel experience. The conversion has been done sympathetically, transforming this into a modern eating place whilst keeping features from the old cinema. There are even a few tables outside, for the rare occasions when the weather is warm enough.
The menu offers a good range of the usual pizzas and pastas, with seasonal variations (see their website for details) - try the dough balls or garlic bread for a starter, and the chocolate bombe for dessert. The service is usually efficient and friendly. The restaurant can get quite busy and is a popular place for family weekend lunches.
