The Shirehall 'canteen' but also open to the general public. Mostly hot food available although some sandwiches, also a salad bar which is popular. Top marks for introducing a reusable container for the salad bar - far more green than disposable ones.

Although there are various healthy eating awards displayed much of the food on offer is quite greasy even if it is marketed as one of the healthy options. Not cheap for what is basically a work canteen, far better food on offer for a similar price just a few steps up the road at the Peacock on Wenlock Road. Prices can be a little confusing as there is one price for the main, then veg and other sides are extra. More fresh food would be good, and the vegetables are usually overcooked!

Public restaurant inside Shire Hall. Mostly used by the council office workers, but is open to anybody who wants to eat there.
